Our Management Team
Richard "Shan" Schatzle, President
As president of Inner Circle, Mr. Schatzle's brings over 16 years of environmental management and business development experience to his clients. His responsibilities
include client development, business development for clients, marketing assistance,
environmental technical support, and agency support & interaction.
Prior to forming Inner Circle, Mr. Schatzle served as senior environmental professional and and business development manager for T. Baker Smith, Inc. He has also held senior management positions at Shaw Environmental & Infrastructure, Inc., Enviro One, LLC, and Sestech Environmental, Inc. Prior to his roles in the private sector, Mr. Schatzle spent seven years at the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality serving as RCRA permitting supervisor.
Mr. Schatzle holds a bachelor of science degree in environmental science from Louisiana State University. He is also affiliated with numerous environmental associations and industry advocacy groups. Mr. Schatzle currently serves as executive director of the Louisiana Brownfields Association.
Edward R. DeSocio, Vice President
Mr. DeSocio brings over 20 years of environmental and energy management experience to his new position at Inner Circle. In addition to roles in business and client development, Mr. DeSocio's responsibilities also
include project & program management, proposal preparation, technical & regulatory assistance, energy management, contracting, finance and accounting.
Prior
to joining Inner Circle, Mr. DeSocio served as senior project manager in permitting, compliance and alternative energy at The Shaw Group, Inc. DeSocio also served as senior environment, health and safety manager for Safety-Kleen, Corp. where he managed multi-media environmental affairs for RCRA-permitted facilities in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Illinois. Mr. DeSocio also has considerable energy management experience, having served in numerous gas and electric power commodity management positions at Entergy and Reliant Energy.
Mr. DeSocio holds a
bachelor of science degree in environmental science from Syracuse University, a master of science degree in environmental health sciences from Tulane University and a master of business administration degree from Tulane University.
